According to an article in The Times, the group that was arrested last year at a para military training camp in the North of Natal, received training as assassins. According to the ANC these “soldiers” was released on bail and is now concidered to be a threat to the elections.
This group may be part of the SAUIF and it is claimed that it is part of the IFP. The IFP however claims not to know anything about this group.
We know the ANC still has the MK members and has about a week ago claimed that they “Have soldiers deployed all over the country, waiting in the trenches….” How is it possible that certain groups in SA may have private army’s, but other groups are not allowed to train there own “soldiers”. The fact that certain groups are training “private soldiers”, surely is good reason for concern about stability in the country.
